The purpose of this article is not to recommend luxury hotels, but to offer affordable accommodation where you can comfortably spend a few nights.
Searching for housing has become a very frustrating process for me lately, especially when I have a limited budget, but I still want to live reasonably. Below are some places that met my requirements and were affordable.
Dream House
It's a very clean guest house, no less than a hotel. Due to the small room, I don't think this option is suitable for two. You'll get a kettle, coffee and tea, as well as a bottle of water every day. In the cold month of December, the heated floor was great. There's a window in the room, which is also important. It's a pretty big bathroom, and the shower area is separate, which is rare in Korea. Cleaning was done every day. There are 2 subway stations and a bus stop nearby the hotel, which is in the Hongdae area. Many cafes and restaurants are in walking distance, as well as a street with shops.

Hao Guesthouse in Hongdae
This guest house is in the same area as Dream House, as you can see in the name. This part of the city is bustling with life and beautiful Koreans no less than others, so I highly recommend staying here. To start with, I got checked in earlier than expected, as the room was already ready. The second thing is, I checked out an hour later and they didn't charge me extra. A very friendly guy who helped everyone. That guest house looks great! Nice and clean inside! Rooms with a double bed aren't very big, but rooms with two separate beds are a little bigger. Each room has a window and heated floors. A bottle of water was not in my room, but I found water in the kitchen on the ground floor. Additionally, the room rate includes breakfast, which you can prepare yourself from ingredients in the refrigerator. Although the bathroom is clean, the shower is directly above the stove, which leaves the toilet and everything else wet, but this is normal in Korea. Getting on the metro takes about 10 minutes. Getting to the airport takes about an hour (a taxi costs 80 won).

MJ Stay
This option is for pink lovers. Pink rooms with gray tones are located near Myeongdong streets, where you'll find clothing shops and cosmetics shops and Street food. The room itself wasn't very clean, but the bed was comfy. My room was on the sixth floor, and it was so-so. The toilet was small, the shower was in the sink, and the room itself was a bit small and dark. But room 503 on the floor below had a separate shower area and a window that could be opened to let in more light. There was no cleaning in my room, so I think this can be resolved if you ask.

Star Hotel Gangnam
If you would like to stroll around the famous Gangam area, this hotel is quite suitable, and the rate is not too high. Nevertheless, do not expect anything fancy in the room. The room is very dark, with only a small window, which is not an issue. However, the bathroom is a pleasant surprise due to the presence of a bathtub, which is an unusual feature. The bed is very hard, so you should not expect a great night's sleep. All personal hygiene items and a hairdryer are provided in the room. There is also a kettle, water, tea, and coffee available. For one night, this hotel is ideal, but I do not recommend it for a longer stay.
