"Bangkok in 4 Days: How Much Did I Spend on My Quick Trip?"

As a result of my trip to Korea, I have regained new strength in my krumper spirit. And I wanted to battle again, and to my surprise I found an event on Facebook that would take place in Bangkok! It became a signal and a reason for me to travel to a new country, Thailand!

To be honest, I never wanted to go there. All Asian countries taste the same to me, except, perhaps, Korea and Japan. Perhaps China is also a different planet! I'm just not a fan of Asian countries in general, even though I live in Vietnam 😆

We'll get started now...

As a first step, I bought tickets...

🛩️ Tickets

✈️ Hanoi ✈️ Bangkok ✈️ Hanoi (VietJet) 120 USD

Yes, I know I swore I would not book tickets with this airline, but

If they offer the cheapest flights, what should I do?😁

🙂 Day 1

I arrived in Bangkok on Saturday afternoon and headed straight to the hotel (or rather villa). It is very easy and cheap to get to the city from BBK airport on your own. I am a simple person, so I used the regular metro and bus.

I changed some money on the first floor of the airport.

💰 40 USD = 1410 Thai Baht

With this money I went to the very bottom floor, where the train to the city center departs from. There you can easily find a machine where you choose the station you need and pay for the token.

💰The ticket cost about 35 Baht

The next step was to take a bus. Using Google maps, I found the stop I needed and praised the prehistoric bus that took me there without a hitch.

💰The price of such a bus is 8 Baht

After such a wonderful bus, a luxurious villa was waiting for me, which increased my reach on Instagram in minutes))

VeVilla

This villa is not in the center, but for me it was not important, since I was choosing accommodation closer to the battle.

I don't have much to add, as I was satisfied with everything in this room! Of course, I didn't take that bath, but I took a couple of photos. There was hot water in the shower, and that was the most important thing for me, especially after reading the comments about most of the hotels in Bangkok. The coolest thing for me in this villa was its own mini garden, where breakfast was brought in the morning.

💰 Cost of one night - 36 USD

After exploring my villa, I went to meet the krumpers. The journey would have taken me an hour on my own, so I decided to take a grab bike.

😱 And then I was shocked... I thought they drive harshly in Vietnam, but it was not so. The biker was driving me at a speed of probably 100 km/h, my helmet was flying off, and my hands were sweating with every winding overtaking of cars in a traffic jam. And then I saw an accident with two corpses and intestines outside, but the bike survived... After that, I just prayed and counted the minutes until my final destination.

💰Grab - 230 Baht

After meeting the Filipino krumpers, we went to the night market to try the delights of Thai cuisine. Our menu included: live crayfish, stuck together pasta, super spicy salad and rice with mango. Since I was treated, I can’t tell you the price. But I liked rice with mango.

After this good krumper walk, I went home, but this time by car)

💰Grab - 209 Baht

🥳 Day 2

It was the day of battles. So I spent the whole day in the dance studio at the event.

At first, there were master classes from Filipino krumpers, and then the battles themselves. I participated in two categories: 2 on 2 freestyle and 1 on 1 krump. In krump, I managed to dance enough to get tired and remember what stamina is.

Having received a surveyor diploma for the 8Bucks nomination, I went to another hotel. I booked the one closest to the dance studio.

A-one Boutique Hotel

My boutique is like a garage to the main hotel, which had a swimming pool and a gym, bars and food. But for one night, I didn’t really need this luxury. The main thing is that the bed was clean and the hot water in the shower worked. The room was quiet, I didn’t hear anyone, except for the old air conditioner, which roared like a propeller. In addition to two beds, the room also had a sofa with a tea table, which I used to spread out my things.

💰Price per night - 38 USD

🤩 Day 3

A free day, a day in which I could fully immerse myself in Bangkok.

The day started with moving to another hotel. This time I chose a simple one, but one that was close to the area I wanted to walk in the most.

Parvena Hotel Sathorn

A very simple room, but the main thing is that it was clean and fresh! The room had everything you need, including a refrigerator and cutlery! There was also a balcony at your disposal. Hot water and air conditioning worked properly! The location is ideal if you plan to travel by public transport, since the bus stop is right in front of the hotel. It's a 15-20 minute walk to the metro. Also within walking distance is the famous park - Lumpini Park, which I never visited.

💰 Cost per night - 802 Baht

Having checked into the hotel, I immediately set off. My goal was the Iconsiam shopping center. And I went there on foot to enjoy the high-rise buildings along the way, and maybe find a cozy cafe for a snack. I didn’t find a cafe, so as I got closer to the icon, I was already thinking only about food)

On the lower floor of the mall there is a pleasing to the eye fair where you can buy souvenirs, but I was no longer interested in it, so my eye was pleased only with pictures of food. I had my snack there 6 having ordered pasta at Kloset Cafe

💰 Price for lunch - 264 Baht

Having had my fill of food, I walked around the shops very quickly, since the thought that I would soon be flying to Seoul did not allow me to indulge in Thai shopping to the fullest.

After Ikon, I decided to return to the hotel using the subway.

💰 Subway ride - 32 baht

Next, that famous Thai massage was waiting for me! I carefully read all the reviews of nearby salons and headed to Plu) Keep in mind that most salons do not accept card payments, so it is extremely important to stock up on cash.

The massage was great, where only she did not bend my body! It felt like I went to stretching, where I did not have to strain, she also turned my neck with a crunch, after which life became even better)

Plu Massage

💰Thai massage - 300 baht

After the massage I went to meet my friends at Dragon House. Since it was already late, I had to take a risk and order a bike.

💰Grab - 56 Baht

🤬 I only had 500 in one bill, which I gave to the driver, he quickly put it in his pocket and was about to go! But I slowed him down, asking for change, to which he began to say that he did not have change, and began to drive me to look for change from passers-by who did not speak English. And so we stood there yelling at each other until I saw my friends who changed the money for me. In general, guys, keep your change with you!

After this incident, we went to dinner, where I tried another Thai dish in the form of stuck together pasta.

Then we walked along the streets, had wonderful conversations about krump and fed local mosquitoes with foreign blood.

Day 4

My favorite thing to do when traveling is to have a delicious breakfast in a beautiful place.

And my day started with a big breakfast in

Bartels

💰Price of sandwich and coffee: 12 USD

The breakfast turned out to be so filling that I couldn't even finish it, and then I decided to walk around the area to lose a few grams.

On the way I came across a very cute pink cafe, which I went into by inertia, and ordered a bubble tea.

CollaTea

Once I had eaten and drunk enough, I returned to the hotel to pack my belongings and depart for the airport. I travelled on my own by bus and metro. It took about an hour and a half to travel, although I had to contend with the traffic jam, but in the end, I arrived on time.

💰Bus - 12 baht

💰Metro - 42 baht

That's where my super fast trip ended and I returned to Vietnam)

Now let's roughly calculate how much I spent in 4 days in Bangkok.

💸 Total for 4 days I spent: 320 USD

🔸2,014,905 dong (card payments) approximately 7,500 rubles

🔸95 dollars (cash Baht) 9,000 rubles

🔸15,318 rubles (tickets and villa)
