Five days in Belgrade (Serbia)

Belgrade is the capital of Serbia.

What did I know about this city?

Nothing, except that I was filled with fleeting memories of my first trip to this city.

It was 2014 when Girl Eyez and I were on our way to Paris for the battles.

We had tickets through Belgrade, in which we had to spend the whole day.

We arrived early in the morning, our friends met us and took us home. We slept there for half a day, and immediately went to give krump classes and after we had an hour to see Belgrade!

As you could understand - I saw almost nothing, but the impressions were pretty good!

6 years later, the same flight to Paris was waiting for me, and again a day in Belgrade on the way!

What happened next? What do you think?

It was March 2020!

Exactly this month everything stopped working because of lockdown!

The trip to France fell through at the last moment!

The silence has begun in the world! But we decided not to completely lose tickets and take advantage of what we were offered, to spend five days in Belgrade!

To be honest, I was not ready for this trip. In my notebook I only had a plan for one day and that's it, so I had to improvise on the spot!

Tickets (Msc- Par-Msc)

I bought tickets to Paris and back for 7600 rubles (it was a promotion).

Accomodattion

I had booked in advance a night at the Villa Forever Hotel.

Honestly, I was looking for something inexpensive and in the center!

The location was very convenient, but the room itself was a bit let down. The room was like in a basement, and the window was small, which made it seem that there was not enough air in the room!

But ... for such a price, you don't have to show off!

Price per night: RUB 1899 (RSD 2649)

The next place for the next five days, I decided to keep an eye on Airbnb.

And we found a very nice and cozy apartment, which for some reason was located inside the courtyard of the house! It was clean and warm inside! A very interesting design has become a plus! The location was great, within walking distance of everything.

If you are in Belgrade, I recommend that you take a closer look at this apartment.

Price: 5952 rub

Transport

As for the transport, I did not really understand.

They said that you can pay with a card, but at the same time nothing was debited from me. Therefore, to avoid fines, we bought a ticket at a stall.

Ticket: 70 rubles (98 RSD)

Food

The best part of the trip is the FOOD!

Yes!! It is very tasty and very cheap there !! In the restaurant, we could eat for 1,500 rubles (this is the price for two, including tips).

The portions were very huge everywhere, that sometimes it was simply impossible to finish everything!

The only regret is that we got there in a pandemic, and most of the establishments were closed (

Below are a couple of good and satisfying places.

I'll start with my favorite!

Asia Food Kralia Milana

758 rubles (1060 RSD) for two

Where to go. What to watch .

Belgrade Waterfront.

A new part of the city that has recently begun to build new-fangled houses on the edge of the Sava. Delighting with its promenade to walk and cycle along!

This place captured my heart and breath!

Avala Tower

The next place that took my breath away was the Avala TV tower, or rather the path to it!

Its location is about 30 minutes from the center by bus. Then there is a path up the mountain through the forest, and just here a beautiful view of nature opens up!

Upon arrival at the endpoint, you can climb the tower, for a separate cost, and drink delicious coffee with a wonderful view of the city from "I do not remember" what height.

Strangely, I have not seen a recommendation to visit this place anywhere on the Internet, I stumbled upon it by accident while studying google maps.

Ticket: 430 rubles (600 RSD)

Bar Panorama: 380 rubles (530 RSD)

Address: Beli Potok, Serbia

Zemun

Zemun is a bohemian, picturesque area known for its cafes, lively late-night bars and fish restaurants along the Danube River.

A very pleasant piece of Belgrade for a walk, reminiscent of Italy, to which you can devote a day!

Стари Град

The gray city is an integral part of a walk around the city. Belgrade is no exception, and its fortress should not pass you by!

Museums

In fact, Belgrade is filled with many interesting museums, and one of the most popular is, of course, the Nikola Tesla Museum, which for some reason we did not go ...

However, I was very interested in one house ... and we visited it.

Palace of Princess Ljubica

Kneza Sime Markovina 8, Beograd 11000, Serbia

Parks

Belgrade is a very green city filled with many parks and fresh air!

In general, Belgrade is a very friendly city that welcomes you with hospitality and good prices!

I will gladly repeat this trip, but not in a pandemic!

A trip to Belgrade for five days cost 36,000 rubles for two. *

* the prices indicated in the article were valid as of March 2020.

Google Map with the places mentioned above and more!
