American psycho is done! Walking along the Arbat one fine morning, I came upon a book store, where I actually bought this very unkind book. Neither the book nor the author is familiar to me. I was attracted to the book by its title and the fact that it takes place in my beloved New York. As soon as I started reading it, my eyes immediately began to burn from the overabundance of obscene language. As I read on, my imagination refused, because the violent scenes were described so deeply and in such detail that I just wanted to shut the book. Later, I found out that this book is considered a classic, that even a film was made based on it... The main character was played by Christian Bale, so I had to return to the book. Once I finished reading it, I sat down to watch the film. Perhaps it is for the best, but the film was shortened... Watched it mainly because of the cast (Christian Bale, Jareth Leto, Reese Witherspoon, etc.). Honestly, it was too cruel for me!
